Obviously we stock the basics – Double Knitting, Aran, Chunky, 4ply, 3ply and Super Chunky weights of yarn along with many new concepts such as fancy scarf yarn.
Natural fibres used include Cashmere, Mohair, Silk, Angora, Alpaca, Cotton, Linen, Bamboo, and of course Wool.
Wool is usually Merino but other breeds are also used in certain yarns.
Synthetic fibres including Acrylic, Nylon and Polyester, which add durability and cost savings when blended with more expensive luxury fibres.
Yarns are sold in balls, hanks, skeins and on cone. Yarn comes in plys – that’s the number of ends twisted together to make a yarn. Roving Yarn is single end untwisted fibre.
